Academic Competition of Arizona Foundation

With financial support from the Foundation, competitions such as the Mock Trial and CSI Arizona give students the opportunity to meet other students from across the province to showcase what they have learned in class. They give students the opportunity for personal growth and success, emphasizing the importance of research, presentation, collaboration and independence in sport. In addition to educating students about modern social issues and the legal system, these programs encourage teachers and students to develop learning partnerships with professionals from the community. Lawyers, judges, police and probation officers, lawmakers and public officials participated in class and law enforcement competitions for competing students. This connection between schools and the legal profession shows students that society is committed to their academic success. Ultimately, these programs produce capable, knowledgeable citizens, who participate in greater access to justice.
